PLATO LASSITI and ZEVS CAVE
High in the mountains of eastern Crete, in the heart of the picturesque Lassithi valley, is located the amazing cave Dikteon Andron - the place where Zeus himself, the supreme Olympic god, was born.

The cave of Zeus was here, in the mysterious cave Dikteon Andron. According to ancient Greek myths, Zeus was born - the main Olympic god. The observation deck offers an incredibly beautiful view of the entire valley of Lassithi!
Pottery. The art of creating real works of art from simple clay has not sunk into oblivion in Greece. It continues to exist, carefully preserving ancient traditions. Challenge yourself as a potter, make a souvenir with your own hands!
Traditional Cretan Tavern. On the vast Lassithi plateau are, perhaps, one of the best taverns of mountainous Crete! In addition to baked lamb and other traditional dishes baked according to traditional recipes, you will be offered fresh fruits and juices prepared right before your eyes!
Vidiani Monastery. One of the most famous Orthodox monasteries on the Lassithi Plateau. A miraculous life-giving source that healed more than a dozen people, the traditional Venetian architecture of the church and the famous icon of the Virgin Mary annually attract hundreds of Christians here. The monastery also has a zoological mini-museum!
Homo Sapiens Museum. The children's entertainment museum simply and vividly demonstrates the development of human society from the time of the Stone Age to the flight of man into space! Great place for photos!
